This final work is the result of creating my own designs with the use of interchangeable parts to form a blow mould. The forms were inspired by architecture and the surface texture from the layering of silhouettes of buildings, rooftops and architectural components.
I used a CNC machine to create the designs of my blow moulds and cast pieces of different sizes to make the mould interchangeable and allow me to make multiple designs with the same pieces. I wanted to make use of digital technologies without taking away the personal aspect that craft brings to making art. To achieve this, I used my own hand drawn sketches of architecture to create the basis for my designs.
