One of Agnes Denes’ most famous works, ‘A Wheat Field’ sent a very important environmental message in the late 80s, planting a 2 Acre wheat field in a landfill site just outside of manhattan. as well as harvesting it. Not only was this environmentally driven, but commented on the problems of waste, world hunger and ecological concerns.
Conceptually her work really stands out to me. The action she took to make her statement influences my will to make my works as sustainable as I can.
