‘Akumulator’ has been described as ‘a sanctuary of neglected materials’, both physically and metaphorically, highlighting the need for a refuge for crime driven youth in ‘economically deprived’ areas.

The use of derelict, decaying materials emphasises this message of deprivation. Artistically, the textures and colours created through the process of decay is very interesting to me.
