I find the ceramics and glass collections at the V&A thoroughly inspiring. The visual development of ceramics through the years and how colours and styles are so unique to countries and eras is so interesting. I particularly love seeing trends in glazes, shapes and designs in vases and pots. The french green glazes, marbling effects in clay, delicate porcelain designs and the contemporary collection. The same with the glass selection in the sense that you can see such a brilliant development in styles, ways of working, colours and more contemporary art glass works creeping in. The processes as to how some of the results are achieved is a mystery to me.
