Genzken presented a very minimalistic, modern portrayal of current architecture in her models. Her works were all very varied but consistent in that she asks the viewers to reflect upon themselves and view as many things as possible in life through another perspective, like looking in/out through windows.
The concrete structure reminded me of Rachel Whiteread’s work, looking at the aesthetic and structure. I will experiment in my pieces the minimalistic look as well as starting off minimalist and making something complex from that.
