I found this exhibition inspiring and found that I could relate my work and practice to many of her pieces. I think I am more drawn to modernist sculpture. So this work particularly appealed to me.
I was particularly interested by the oxidised copper looking sculptures.
Connotations of both nature and architectural forms come through in her large body of hanging wire sculptures. The intricate wire patterns and the circular shapes look similar to seed pods - nature coming through most.
I feel I can still take aspects of her work into consideration in my architecturally themed project.
